2020 President Endurance Cup was run on the 08 February 2020 and I was able to attend again this year and had a very enjoyable time.
The 2 winning horse and riders to cross the finish line this year were female . This is the first time a female has Won this prestigious race and the horses were both trained by Al Wathba Stables doing their first 160 km. distance.
Both looked amazing at the finish and considering it was at record time averaging 26.4 km per hour over the distance demonstrates how advance the training methods and management in the UAE have evolved.
The race was run as a domestic championship CEI 160 which allowed Private Stables to fill 50 entries for the first time and what a success that was with the 5th position to finish being a Private Stable and on the pace with a real chance of winning till near the end. An amazing effort by a young rider and horse competing in there first 160km. The completion rate for this race was around 55%.
