Unfortunately after vetting through back at camp 10min later Ozzie developed a mild colic. I believe this was due to the fact that straight after finishing the ride back at camp to be strapped for Vetting Ozzie drank a large tub of cold water when I wasn,t looking which I believe was the reason.
The head Vet felt that he needed to tube fluids and electrolytes and pain relief needle which he administered. Ozzie took a little time to recover, which he did !!!!!and was eating drinking and urinating normal shortly after.
Back home he is fine and shows no signs of being unwell.
I find it difficult to accept that the WIN was taken away from Ozzie but the rule state that the head Vet has final say and depending on how severe the intervention is determines whether he will allow the WIN to stand.
I stated then and I still believe Conderosa Ozzie was hard done by.
